Brief Description of Volunteer Opportunity
and Time Needed

Grant Writer - Help Coordinator to write grants for our school's needs. Submit grants for approval to committee. This is a new position.

Business Sponsorship - Contact local businesses for donations to be used for PTA events. Research other sponsorships like internet sites. (about 2 hours a month)

Bulletin Board & Display Coordinator - Creates Bulletin Boards and Displays for events such as Membership Drives and Fundraising results.

Reflections Coordinator - Work with our Discovery Teachers to receive artwork, music, photography, dance, etc. in the current year's theme. Establish a committee of teachers and parents to vote on art submitted. Enter winning art to COPTA. (August - December time frame)

Holiday Gift Shop Coordinator - is an in-school holiday shopping experience for children. Children purchase gifts for family and friends in the safety and security of their own school. Duties will include coordinating with Volunteer Coordinator for volunteers to run the event. Keep records of inventory. Keep Fundraising coordinator informed on happenings.

Teacher's Workroom Volunteer - You determine what day and time. We must train you on the equipment and let you know the rules. Jobs range from photocopying, laminating and cutting out shapes.

Popcorn Friday Coordinator - Coordinate one Popcorn Friday per month. Contact volunteers to help with distribution, popping, etc. Report bag count, supplies needed, etc to Fundraising Coordinator.

Popcorn Friday - A few helpers are needed to help pop and distribute popcorn bags to classrooms. It takes about 4 hours total to pop the corn and deliver the popcorn to the classes. (Friday Morning, once a month)
